Everton must get the new season off with a great start if they are to improve on last season, insists Leighton Baines.
The Merseyside club have a habit of starting the season slow. The Toffees won just three of their first 17 Premier League matches last season which resulted in the side playing catch-up for the rest of the season. The Blues ended up in a very respectable seventh place after losing just five of the remaining 21 fixtures.
