Real Salt Lake defender Jamison Olave got a little confused during Saturday's match against the Seattle Sounders. In his efforts to keep Mike Fucito from getting off a clear shot on goal, he dragged the Sounders' striker down from behind with a (rather sloppy) American football tackle just outside the box in the 58th minute. That earned Olave a straight red card and, unfortunately for NFL fans, could be the closest they see to professional gridiron action for some time.
Seattle went on to win 2-1, with all three goals being scored after Olave was sent off.
